Time tracking features
Can I track time by project, client, or task?
Yes. Timemarker gives you the flexibility to log time by client, project, activity type, or task. This ensures you get detailed, accurate reporting for internal review or client billing. Timemarker doesn’t include invoicing but does provide detailed profitability reports.
Does Timemarker support weekly and daily timesheet views?
Yes. Timemarker offers both a weekly overview and a daily view for time tracking, making it ideal for day-to-day or mobile time entry.
Is there a built-in timer?
Not at the moment. Timemarker is designed for end-of-day or weekly time entry, rather than live stopwatch tracking. However, as a fast evolving UK timesheet solution, we’re constantly adding new functionality so do keep an eye out for service updates.
Can I copy or repeat time entries from previous weeks?
Yes. Timemarker automatically carries over any time entry item you’ve recorded in the last two weeks into your current timesheet. You can extend this setting up to nine weeks if needed.
Can I add notes to time entries?
Yes. You can add custom notes to any time entry, providing extra context and detail for you or your managers.
Does Timemarker auto-save timesheet entries?
Absolutely. Timemarker automatically saves all time entries to prevent data loss and ensure accuracy.
Project and resource management
Can I set project budgets in Timemarker?
Yes. You can now define project budgets in Timemarker, helping you track time, cost, and profitability against set limits. You’ll find this under Client Maintenance.
Can I move time entries if they’re logged against the wrong project?
Yes. Project admins can easily and securely bulk move time entries across different clients or projects.
Approvals and reminders
Can I approve or reject timesheets?
Yes. Managers can approve or reject timesheets, and leave feedback if adjustments are needed before final approval.
Does Timemarker send timesheet reminders?
Yes. You can enable automated email reminders to prompt your team to submit timesheets on time, supporting employee time management UK best practices.
Can I restrict timesheet access or editing?
Once a timesheet is marked complete, it becomes locked and can’t be edited. However, users can submit an unlock request, which admins can approve if changes are needed.
Leave and absence tracking
Does Timemarker handle holidays and absences?
Yes. Timemarker has built-in leave management, allowing staff to request holidays and managers to approve or decline them.
Can I see time off in reports?
Yes. All leave types appear in Timemarker reports, making it easy to track staff availability, payroll data, and resource forecasting.
Billing, rates and reporting
Can I set cost and billing rates?
Yes. Timemarker supports both internal cost rates and client billing rates, which can be assigned at the person or project level.
Can I track cost and profit?
Yes. Timemarker lets you track project costs, profit margins, and client profitability by combining time tracked, cost rates, and billing rates.
Does Timemarker include invoicing or expense management?
No. Timemarker is focused on accurate time tracking and reporting. However, you can easily export data to use in your own invoicing or accounting systems.
Can I customise reports?
Yes. Timemarker’s reports are flexible and admin-friendly. You can choose what to report on – such as a client, project, or team – then set the time frame and level of detail to suit your needs.
Can I export or import data?
You can export time recordings, project structure (via Client Maintenance), and staff data. Currently, import functionality is limited to updating staff data – you can’t import timesheets or project structures at present.
Dashboards and insights
Does Timemarker have a dashboard?
Yes. Timemarker’s dashboard gives you at-a-glance views of total hours, cost value, billable value, top profitable clients, staff performance, and upcoming time off. You’ll also see billable vs non-billable time and can submit feature suggestions for future dashboard improvements.
Devices and access
Is there a mobile app?
While there’s no separate app, the Timemarker timesheet is optimised for mobile use, especially for time entry. However, admin pages with tables are best viewed on desktop.
Does Timemarker support browser plugins or GPS tracking?
No. Timemarker doesn’t use GPS tracking or browser plugins. It’s designed for desk-based, remote, or hybrid teams who need accurate timesheet software without intrusive tracking.
Integrations and compatibility
Does Timemarker integrate with other tools?
Timemarker doesn’t currently offer direct integrations. However, you can export your data and use it with your existing payroll, invoicing, or project management systems.

Do you offer support?
Yes. Timemarker offers responsive UK-based customer service via email and live chat during working hours. You’ll always deal with a real person, never a bot.
Can the Timemarker team see my data?
No. Your data is private and only visible to users you authorise. Our team can’t access your account, including budgets or cost information, unless you explicitly grant permission (e.g. for a support issue). You stay in full control of your data at all times.
